SA Mushrooms are looking for two Compost Yard Farmhands:

Under the direct supervision of the Compost Yard Manager, your responsibilities will encompass an array of tasks, including the operation of machinery to facilitate the progression of materials through different stages of production.

While possession of a Front-End Loader License is highly advantageous, it is not a strict requirement. Your duties will also involve conducting safety inspections and performing preventive maintenance on equipment such as loaders, forklifts, conveyor belts, and hoppers. This includes tasks like greasing, cleaning, refueling, and replenishing various fluids.

We are presently seeking to augment our cadre with a part-time Bookkeeper / Administrator, working from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, within a congenial team of 17 dedicated professionals.

The ideal aspirant should possess an exemplary work ethos, demonstrate unwavering reliability, and exhibit the capability to function autonomously. The selected individual will oversee the quotidian operations of the office, collaborating intimately with the Founder, Chris Barron, and the Director, Robert Barron.

Key responsibilities encompass:

  • Proficiency with MYOB AccountRight or analogous accounting software (e.g., Xero).
  • Execution of weekly payroll duties, inclusive of Single Touch Payroll Reporting to the ATO.
  • Management of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Conduction of bank reconciliations.
  • Preparation of BAS and PAYG documents.
  • Assistance in the compilation of EOFY accounts in conjunction with the Company Accountant.
  • Facilitation of WH&S requirements.
  • Supervision of general office administrative duties, including filing and upkeep.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for the business (phone and reception).
  • Competence in utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Oversight of ingoing and outgoing electronic correspondence.

Eligibility criteria include the right to work in Australia and a willingness to undergo a police check.
